Analizom vi\u0161e od 600 000 drve\u0107a iz 403 razli\u010dite vrste otkrilo se da drve\u0107e vi\u0161e raste \u0161to je starije, a to mu omogu\u0107ava da zarobi vi\u0161e ugljen dioksida od svojih mla\u0111ih saplemenika, prenosi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.natureworldnews.com\/articles\/5658\/20140116\/older-trees-grow-faster-take-up-more-carbon.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">natureworldnews.com.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Na jednom mjestu istra\u017eivanja, u staroj \u0161umi na zapadu SAD, istra\u017eiva\u010di su ustanovili da drve\u0107e promjera ve\u0107eg od jednog metra \u010dini samo 6% ukupnog drve\u0107a u \u0161umi, no zaslu\u017eni su za tre\u0107inu ukupnog rasta u \u0161umi.<\/p>\n<p>Jedan od sljede\u0107ih koraka u ovom istra\u017eivanju je ustanoviti ho\u0107e li pove\u0107an rast pojedinog drveta uticati na \u0161irenje \u201espremnika ugljen dioksida\u201d sa starenjem \u0161ume.
