Nova istra\u017eivanja pokazuju da najvi\u0161i slojevi Zemljine atmosfere reaguju i da velike hladno\u0107e sa rekordno niskim temperaturama tek dolaze.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eTrend hla\u0111enja je o\u010digledan\u201c, ka\u017ee Martin Mlin\u010dak, iz NASA istra\u017eiva\u010dkog centra Lengli. \u201cVisoko iznad Zemljine povr\u0161ine, blizu ivice svemira, na\u0161a atmosfera gubi toplotnu energiju.<\/p>\n<p>Ako se sada\u0161nji trendovi nastave, gornji slojevi atmosfere bi uskoro mogli postati rekordno hladni, najhladniji u kosmi\u010dkoj eri (ili: otkako su po\u010dela kosmi\u010dka istra\u017eivanja)\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Ove podatke otkrio je instrument Sajber, na NASA satelitu Tajmd (Timed), koji prati emisije ugljen-dioksida (CO2) i azot-oksida (NO), dvije supstance koje igraju klju\u010dnu ulogu u energetskom bilansu vazduha od 100 do 300 kilometara iznad povr\u0161ine na\u0161e planete.<\/p>\n<p>Mjerenjem infracrvenog zra\u010denja ovih molekula, Sajber mo\u017ee da utvrdi toplotno stanje gasa na samom vrhu Zemljine atmosfere, odnosno u sloju koji nau\u010dnici nazivaju termosfera.<\/p>\n<p>Termosfera se uvijek hladi tokom Sun\u010devog minimuma i to je jedan od najva\u017enijih na\u010dina na koji jedanaestogodi\u0161nji Sun\u010dev ciklus uti\u010de na na\u0161u planet, obja\u0161njava Mlin\u010dak.<\/p>\n<p>Kako se jedanaestogodi\u0161nji ciklus sun\u010danih promjena pribli\u017eava kraju, termosfera je blizu toga da bude rekordno hladna.
